Meet the Founders
Vera
I started my Happy Lady illustrations shortly after I was diagnosed Autistic to document all the things I was learning - about Autism, new coping mechanisms, and about myself. I also wanted to connect with other people in the #ActuallyAutistic community and learn to embrace my neurodiversity.
Since then, I have actively pursued Autism advocacy. I have contributed to Autism-specific resources for multiple organisations, such as the National Trust, the DEFRA Autism & ADHD Network, and Ambitious about Autism, where I joined their Youth Network in 2020 and their Youth Council in 2022. I have spoken at various conferences, such as Nautis (2021) and Autscape (2021, 2022).
In my free time, I enjoy playing Ultimate Frisbee, cuddling with my dog Mopsy, and spending time in nature. Some of my favourite places in the world are Morden Hall Park (in London), Kvilda (in the Czech Republic), and really any forest!

I joined Vera, my sister, in October 2022 to transform Happy Autistic Lady from a passion project into a business. Together we’ve taken Vera’s positive, vibrant, and educational illustrations and created a brand that empowers the Autistic community, be that with our university campaigns, unique products, public speaking, or free resources.
Since joining Happy Autistic Lady I have taken charge of business development, been a judge on various start-up pitching competitions, and joined Ambitious about Autism as a Youth Advisor.
In my free time, I love travelling and dancing. It could be any time of the day and I’d probably find an excuse to dance around the room. Is it a hobby or a stim? I don’t know, but I can’t get enough of it; it’s all part of exploring my neurodivergence.
